Promoter reserves the right to exclude any entrant who does not meet the entry requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions. Prize is two general admission tickets to Scotland v Italy match on 1st February 2025 at Murrayfield Stadium, for winner and guest courtesy of Tennent's Lager. The competition runs from 20th December 2024 – 23:59 on 5th January 2025 (the "Competition Period"). No purchase necessary. Entrants should post a film of themselves pouring a pint of Tennent's Lager and upload to their Instagram, tagging @tennentsdirect and @TennentsLager. Promoter, in conjunction with Tennent's Lager, will select the winner based on who best meets the entry brief (the “Winner”). This competition is run through Instagram, but is in no way affiliated with Instagram. All Instagram correspondence received as part of the competition will be from the @tennentsdirect Instagram page. Shortly after the end of the Competition Period, the Promoter shall notify the Winner that they have won by sending a direct message on Instagram. The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be sold, auctioned or redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation.

 

 

Full Terms and Conditions

1.       These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

2.       Promoter: Tennent Caledonian Breweries Wholesale Limited trading as Tennent’s Direct.

3.       Eligibility: This promotion is open to Scotland residents aged 18 and over only, excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, and excluding employees and the immediate families of the Promoter, its subsidiaries, other group companies, its agents, suppliers, or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.

4.       Promotion Period: The promotion will run 20th December 2024 – 23:59 on 5th January 2025. Entries outside of this period will not be accepted.

5.       To enter: Entrants should post a film of themselves pouring a pint of Tennent's Lager and upload to Instagram, tagging @tennentsdirect and @TennentsLager. No purchase necessary.

6.       Internet access required. Participants are responsible for their own costs associated with accessing the internet.  These costs may vary so please check with your service provider for current charges. Participants should seek the permission of the person paying the bill before entering.

7.       Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, consumer groups, syndicates or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is reposting the same content multiple times or using a computer(s) to circumvent this or any other condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’ or any other automated means, that person’s entries will be disqualified, and any prize award will be void.

8.       Incomplete, illegible, invalid or misdirected entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.

9.       Prizes: Two general admission tickets to Scotland v Italy international rugby match on 1st February 2025 at Murrayfield Stadium, for winner and guest.

10.   Winner Selection: The Promoter, in conjunction with Tennent Caledonian Breweries UK Limited will select the winner based on who best meets the entry brief.

11.   Winner Notification: The Promoter shall notify the Winner that they have won by sending a direct message on Instagram. It is the responsibility of entrants to monitor their email /Instagram account(including spam/junk folders) account during this time in case they are a winner. In the event the winner does not respond to the notification within 48 hours, the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner. 

12.   No guarantee all prizes will be won during the Promotion Period. Any remaining prizes not won or any prizes that remain unclaimed following the close of the promotional period will be re-allocated to a wrap up draw.

13.   Prize Fulfilment: The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to ensure prizes are fulfilled within 30 days of winner notification and acceptance, but there may be situations out of the Promoter’s control which may prevent this from time to time.

 

General

14.   The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for proof of address and photo ID (passport, driving licence or equivalent) which the entrant must provide within 10 working days. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the spirit of the promotion, any instructions forming part of this promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating or won using fraudulent means. 

 

15.   The Promoter will make available the prize winners’ surnames and counties of residence to members of the public or regulators who request such details within 3 months of the closing date of this promotion. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting gdpr@candcgroup.com.  We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so. You may request a copy of the winners’ details by emailing gdpr@candcgroup.com.

 

16.   Prizes cannot be sold or transferred. Winning prizes cannot be combined with other discounts, cashback activities or promotions. The prizes are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods and services, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its reasonable control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute similar alternatives of equal or greater value.

 

17.   In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

18.   If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.

 

19.   The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion, the delivery, acceptance or use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

 

20.   The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s entry to the promotion.

 

21.   If any of these conditions should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining conditions shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

 

22.   A winner may be requested, but not required, to participate in publicity arising from the promotion, though for regulatory reasons if a winner is or looks under 25, such request may be revoked. Publicity may include, but not be limited to the winner’s name and the store they purchased the winning pack.

 

23.   The prizes will be fulfilled by Tennent Caledonian Breweries UK Limited and The Scottish Rugby Union.

 

24.   The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose, unless you have consented to receive marketing from the Promoter.  You acknowledge that the Promoter may pass such information to Tennent Caledonian Breweries UK Limited, solely for the purposes of prize fulfilment. The Promoter will treat your personal data in accordance with its Privacy Notice which can be found here. To the extent that personal data is passed by the Promoter to Tennent Caledonian Breweries UK Limited, they will be a controller of this data and will treat your personal data in accordance with their Data Privacy Notice, which can be found here. All data provided by entrants in the promotional period will be destroyed three months after the close of the main promotion, unless you have consented to receive marketing from the Promoter. 25.   Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on Scottish law and the Courts of Scotland will have exclusive jurisdiction unless you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.
